Campaign objectives
- To raise public awareness on psoriasis, especially to give an impression to public that psoriasis is not an infectious disease which should not be discriminated
Key messages
- Encourage patients to understand further on new treatment options available and their mechanisms
- Connect hidden psoriasis patients to understand further about the disease and join Hong Kong Psoriasis Patient Association (HKPPA)
- More drug subsidy programs are needed to enhance access to aggressive treatments
Proposed solution
- Hong Kong Psoriasis Patient Association hosted an art exhibition in Olympian City shopping mall, in order to attract public audience to attend in person, and to share the event through digital means
- Number of external stakeholders have contributed to the event, including Creative Kids and local artists
- The 3D virtual tour and event website encouraged hidden patients, who hesitated to join in person, to participate in the event
- Multiple social media posts from HKPPA, local media and attendees
- Hosted a group media interview with HKPPA President, doctor and patient. Arranged an individual interview on RTHK after the event
Key Result/KPI
- Thousands of physical attendees visited the exhibition in 4 days
- 6 attending media outlets, plus an exclusive media interview by RTHK
- 12 media outlets featured the art exhibition, and 35 media clippings were generated from the event and interview
